I
have been playing CS
since 2002 and as I got more and more interested in the game, I realized
that something was
missing. It was always a problem to find CS downloads, links etc, so I
decided
to make my own
site. Ever since I have kept on updating the site as often as possible and
in
January 2009 I
finally decided to translate the site into English.
• Are all the downloads legal in tournaments?

Some of the downloads on the site might not be legal in various cups/LANs
and I will therefore
advise you to always read the ruleset when entering a
tournament.
• What is the purpose of the site?
> The purpose is to gather relevant cs downloads, links etc. in one place.
• What are the optimal rates /
settings in CS?
> rate 25000, cl_cmdrate 101, cl_updaterate 101, ex_interp 0.01 with 100
hertz.
• Will I get better by playing with a GUI?
> No. Most GUIs just change the appearance of the menus (and console
etc.).
• I'm experiencing lag in CS - what do I do?
> Set optimal rates (look above) and clean your computer with the Spyware
programs on the
Links-site. Also, make
sure to close all other programs running
in the background while you play.
• How do I get 16/32 bit in CS?
> Via the Launch Options
(Steam > Games >
Right Click on Counter-Strike >
Properties > Set launch options)
and write -16bpp or -32bpp.
• How do I get 100hertz in CS?
> Via the Launch Options
(Steam > Games >
Right Click on
Counter-Strike >
Properties > Set launch options)
and write -freq 100.
- If that doesn't work and CS opens in a window, download a driver
for your monitor.
